このたび、東海国立大学機構が運用するMicrosoft SharePointサイトのひとつにおいてアクセス権限の設定に不備があり、本来アクセス権限を有しない機構の教職員及び学生が、一部のファイルを閲覧可能な状態となっていたことが判明しました。 

本事案は、SharePointサイト構築作業の際、アクセス権限設定を誤って変更したことにより発生したものです。令和8年6月17日に事案を把握し、直ちに設定を修正しました。 

調査の結果、一部のファイルについて閲覧及びダウンロードが行われていたことを確認しました。当該ファイルには、教職員及び学生の個人情報が以下のとおり含まれていました。 

 

• 教職員：18,635 名　氏名、所属、機構メールアドレス、機構アカウント 
• 教職員：125 名　氏名、所属、機構メールアドレス、機構アカウント 及び生年月日 
• 学　生：3 名  氏名、所属、機構メールアドレス、機構アカウント 

 

現時点において、本事案に起因する個人情報の不正利用等の被害は確認されておりません。 

漏えいの可能性がある教職員及び学生の方々には、個別にご連絡し、お詫びを申し上げました。 

このような事態を招き、関係する皆様に多大なるご心配とご迷惑をおかけしましたことを深くお詫び申し上げます。 

機構では、本事案を重く受け止め、アクセス権限設定に関する手順及び確認体制を見直し、再発防止に努めてまいります。

Notice Regarding the Potential Exposure of Personal Information 

July 16, 2026 

Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (THERS)

 

We have identified an error in the access permission settings of one of the Microsoft SharePoint sites operated by THERS. As a result, certain files were accessible to faculty members, staff, and students of THERS who were not authorized to access them. 

This incident occurred when access permission settings were inadvertently changed during the configuration of the SharePoint site. The issue was identified on June 17, 2026, and the settings were corrected immediately. 

Our investigation confirmed that some files were viewed and downloaded. These files contained the following personal information relating to faculty members, staff, and students: 

 

Faculty and staff (18,635 individuals): name, affiliation, THERS email address, and THERS account. 

Faculty and staff (125 individuals): name, affiliation, THERS email address, THERS account, and date of birth. 

Students (3 individuals): name, affiliation, THERS email address, and THERS account. 

 

At this time, no unauthorized use of personal information or any resulting harm related to this incident has been confirmed. 

We have individually notified and apologized to the faculty members, staff, and students whose personal information may have been exposed. 

We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused to all affected individuals and stakeholders. 

THERS takes this incident very seriously and will review its procedures and verification processes concerning access permission management to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
