国立大学法人東海国立大学機構は、富士通株式会社と、月・火星・惑星間空間での人類活動の安全確保を目指した、宇宙放射線の発生予測に関する共同研究において、富士通のAIプラットフォームであるFujitsu Kozuchiに搭載された説明可能なAIの「Wide Learning™」を適用し、宇宙天気に影響を及ぼす太陽高エネルギー粒子の増加要因となる太陽フレアの発生条件を見出す成果を得ました。
Tokai National Higher Education and Research System and Fujitsu today announced a joint research on the prediction of space radiation phenomena to ensure the safe human exploration of the Moon, Mars, and interplanetary space. As part of the joint research, the two partners applied Fujitsu’s “Wide Learning” explainable AI technology offered via Fujitsu’s AI platform Kozuchi, and discovered conditions for the occurrence of solar flares, solar eruptive events which lead to an increase in solar energetic particles which in turn affect space weather.
